PA¥TRIARCHY: MONEY $HOT

Erotic content in popular culture is often censored by those who aren’t even familiar with the products they wish to censor. This pre-emptive brand of outrage censorship is especially egregious concerning erotic content from Japan, as consenting adult admirers in the west are increasingly being deprived of an authentic Ero experience.

George Kamitani faced severe backlash for the design of his chesty
Sorcerer and scantily clad Barbarian in the game "Dragon's Crown", and Yoshiyuke Kamei's Rainbow Mika from "Street Fighter V" had her self-inflicted Derrière Slap omitted. These artists from Japan have had their work shamed and touched without their consent, amusingly due to puritanical and extreme feminist ideologies like "Rape Culture", and "The Male Gaze".

The works in this collection incorporate calligraphic and narrative-heavy styles of image making inspired from traditional ukiyo-e, as well as their modern incarnations such as manga and Japanese video games. I want to celebrate erotic Japanese art whilst providing an authentic experience often denied to western aficionados of erotic Japanese art.
